Scores of swimmers are expected to take to the water at a popular beach in memory of a 33-year-old woman who died of bowel cancer.

Victoria Hall lost her battle with the disease in September 2022 – just four weeks after her wedding day.

But before she died Victoria organised the first “Big Bathe” in West Wittering an event which has raised over £140,000 in two years.

And now her sister Georgie wants to “live twice as hard” for her younger sibling as the event returns for its third year.

Georgia said: “We can be sad she is no longer with us, or we can live twice as hard and do all the things Victoria would want us to do. We are urging everyone to swim for Victoria.”

As many as 180 swimmers are expected to take part in The Big Bathe in West Wittering on September 14, the third year the event has taken place.

Those wishing to take part can register on The Big Bathe website.
