An elderly man has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in a town centre road.
The pedestrian, 86, remains in hospital after being involved in the crash at around 4pm on Wednesday.
Sussex Police say they are appealing for witnesses to the crash in Western Road, Bexhill.
A spokesman for the force said: “Officers were called to the incident involving a car and a pedestrian.

“The pedestrian, a 86-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital at this time.
“It took place on Western Road at around 4pm on Wednesday, July 24.
“Witnesses or anyone with any dashcam footage or information is asked to contact police online or call 101 quoting serial 939 of 24/07.”
