Dozens of caravans have taken over a beachside area.

The vehicles parked in Marine Drive, Goring Gap, on Saturday and set up camp.

Sussex Police were called and officers were seen liaising with them.

Caravans were also parked alongside the skate park in Beach Green in Lancing on Friday evening and on Hove Lawns from Thursday night to Friday.

Previously a spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police were called to a report of an unauthorised encampment off Kingsway Court, Queens Gardens, Hove, shortly after 7pm on Thursday, July 25.

“The public are encouraged to report any crime or suspicious activity to us online or by calling 101.

“Always call 999 in an emergency.”

A similar camp was seen in Goring Gap just two weeks ago and another was spotted on football pitches just north of Goring.

Police visited all camps.

The force has been approached for comment over the current camp.
