A quaint village pub with a beer garden and skittle alley could be yours for £585,000.

The Barley Mow in Walderton, near Chichester, has been put on the market by the Ive family after owning it for the past 30 years.

It includes a restaurant and bar which can serve around 90 people, an open fire and unique skittle alley all within the red brick walls.

Lynne Ive, whose family own the Barley Mow, said: “We have worked hard with great staff and alongside managers before deciding to lease out the pub the last ten years.

"The Skittle Alley is a great asset. People come far and wide to use what has been a very enjoyable evening of entertainment. We have also hosted many small wedding receptions and various functions.

“The accommodation above the pub is a perfect size to bring up a family. The pub is known by so many people you speak to. We were initially attracted to it by its country village feel and its popularity that keeps you busy with a great atmosphere."

It is listed by property firm Fleurets. Divisional director Nick Earee added: "Set in an idyllic location of the South Downs, the Barley Mow is close to Goodwood and equidistant to Emsworth and Chichester.

"The property is currently let, but the tenants are leaving when the lease expires on November 28, 2024, or perhaps before if all parties are in agreement.”
