Builders have started work on dozens of new homes in a quiet Sussex village.
The development, off South Road in Wivelsfield Green, near Burgess Hill, will see 45 houses built, along with parking spaces and green space with a play area and a pond.
It is made up of detached and semi-detached homes, maisonettes and bungalows and many have their own garden.
The development was approved by Lewes District Council last year and work by developer Elivia Homes Central has begun this week.
Of the 45 homes, 14 will be affordable homes for local residents.

The developer said the homes are high quality and sustainable.
Residents’ bills will be reduced and the environmental impact of the homes lowered as they will be kept warm with heat pumps.
There will be electric car charging points for residents and visitors, alongside a strict waste and recycling regime to "encourage residents to live more sustainably", the developer said.
Jack Biggerstaff, managing director for Elivia Homes Central, said: "We are extremely excited to have started work at Wivelsfield Green and look forward to delivering sustainable living options.
"We have worked hard to ensure that the development will complement the abundant village life that is already present, and hope these things combined make the area an increasingly enviable place to live."
