The A26 is set to undergo various closures this summer as a result of roadworks in the area.
National Highways said there will be three phases of closures from August to September to allow for resurfacing work to take place.
Phase one will begin on August 5 and will see the A26 closed in both directions between South Heighton and Newhaven town for five nights.
This will be between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
