A thug was caught on video stamping the head of a defenceless young woman.
A horrific video shows Halcyon Platt, 21, punching and stamping on a 23-year-old woman on October 1, 2023.
The video was shown to Lewes Crown Court. Platt had been on a night out in Brighton when he sexually assaulted another woman, grabbing her around the throat.
Platt attacked then attacked the second woman. He approached a group of people who were concerned for the welfare of another man lying on the ground.
He shoved the woman out of the way, claiming to be a nurse. When she confronted him, Platt became aggressive.
Recorder Michael Brompton KC told Platt: “You reacted by throwing her to the ground and delivering six massive blows to her head while six members of the public tried to pull you away.
“You stood up, composed yourself, looked down and stamped hard on her head twice.
“CCTV depicts a scene of shocking and uncontrolled violence to a defenceless young woman lying on the ground.”
In the same night, Platt, who was under the influence of ketamine and alcohol, sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman.

The court heard that the woman was on a night out with friends when Platt picked her up and grabbed her by the breasts and throat.
The woman spoke of the impact the traumatic event had on her.
She said: “I can’t go out anymore, without worrying about what will happen to me. I haven’t been able to go out to a pub or club since.
“The last time I tried to do so, I had a very bad anxiety attack and had to go home.
“I have also had to change my job.”
The 23-year-old woman who was attacked by Platt was also left anxious and isolated.
She said: “For the first week I was scared to go to sleep as I thought I might not wake up due to the head injury.
”I was also very anxious, and I isolated myself.
”I found it hard to leave the house after, scared of people seeing my face and just generally feeling low about how I looked.”
Platt was jailed for three years and nine months and fined £228 at Lewes Crown Court on July 12.
He can be released on licence after serving half of the sentence.
