A man has been jailed for distributing harmful drugs after cash and thousands of pounds worth of drugs were found in a county drug line investigation.

Omar Shackleton, 31, was suspected of running class A drugs into Crawley as part of the 'JJ' county drug line.

Police raided his home in Halstead Place, Kent, on March 8, where approximately £5,035 of cash, £4,000 worth of heroin, Xzylazine and other cutting agents, and numerous mobile phones were found.

An extendable baton, which is classed as an offensive weapon, was also seized.

Shackleton was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession of criminal property and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was convicted of all offences and sentenced to three years and one month in prison at Lewes Crown Court on July 2.

Two other men were also convicted for county line drug dealing in Crawley and are due to appear at Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on August 9.

Shackleton’s arrest was part of Sussex Police’s county lines intensification week, which ran from March 4 to 10.
