A woman has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash and fire closed a road.
A 26-year-old woman, who was driving the car, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the car, a 56-year-old man, sustained minor injuries, Sussex Police said.
Three fire engines were dispatched by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and a vehicle fire was extinguished.
The road has now been reopened.

A spokesman for West Sussex County Council said: "The B2139 Turnpike Road, Amberley, is now reopened following a serious traffic incident which resulted in a diesel spillage and a vehicle fire that severely damaged the carriageway on Monday afternoon.
"We would like to thank road users for their patience while our highways teams repaired the road."
