Four new Ikea click and collect points have opened in Sussex supermarkets.
Ikea has opened 33 new collection points in the South East and London, with four falling inside the county border.
The new locations can be found at Tesco stores in Burgess Hill, Crawley, Eastbourne and St-Leonards-on-Sea.
Existing collection points are also situated at Shoreham-by-Sea Tesco Extra and Tesco Extra Chichester.
Customers can collect Ikea orders from these designated pick-up points for free if exceeding £100, or for a charge of £5 if under.
It comes as Ikea is due to open a store in Brighton shopping centre Churchill Square in the autumn of this year.
The store is set to open in the former Debenhams store there, which has been empty since 2021.
As part of these plans, Ikea also wants to use the centre’s existing middle car park level as a click-and-collect service.
If approved, there will be 20 car parking spaces for this facility and three loading bays closer to the collection point for people to use who are collecting heavier goods.
Jakob Bertilsson, country customer fulfilment manager at IKEA UK, said: “The opening of our one-hundredth mobile pick-up point marks an exciting moment for our journey to become more accessible.
“As we continue to see a shift in our visitors’ wants to shop even more conveniently, we need to constantly develop and improve with better and more affordable services.
“Our ambitions to double our Click & Collect offering, combined with the strengthening of services such as IKEA Home Delivery, means we are now closer than ever to people in all parts of the UK.”
Simon Williams, Tesco’s assets and estates director, said: “We’re always looking for ways to serve our customers better and help make their shop even more convenient.
“We are pleased to be working with IKEA to give their customers the option to collect orders from more of our stores.
“We are proud of this 100th Click & Collect point milestone and hope this continues to improve the shopping experience for Tesco and IKEA customers.”
