A man has been arrested after a "disturbance" in the city centre.

Police were called to the incident outside Subway in North Street, Brighton, at about 6.40pm on Thursday, July 18.

In a statement issued this morning, Sussex Police said a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and public order offences.

"He has been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue," a force spokeswoman added.
