A slip road on the A27 is set to reopen after being closed for weeks.

Motorists will be able to use the section of the road on the Shoreham Bypass, which leads to the A283 and town centre, again from 7am on Friday morning.

This comes weeks after the closure was first put in place on June 16 after a single-vehicle crash on the busy A-road.

No one was injured in the incident however a section of the safety barrier on the slip road was damaged.

This meant a temporary barrier had to be put in place and cones put up to keep drivers away from the lane.

At the time, National Highways said the closure was expected to be in place for up to four weeks as a new made-to-measure barrier had to be manufactured and installed.

This week, contractors have been working at the site to install the new barrier, with the work set to be finished by Friday morning.
