Another man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run.

Russell Ward was struck by a motorcycle, which failed to stop, as he crossed Priory Road, Hastings, on May 5.

The 65-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sussex Police confirmed today that 22-year-old Jordan Stillwell, who was wanted in connection with the incident, has been arrested.

Both he and 20-year-old Reuben Nelson, who was also arrested after being circulated as wanted, have been bailed with strict conditions as the investigation continues.

The family of Mr Ward paid tribute to him on the two-month anniversary of his death earlier this month.

“Our big brother,” said his sister Nicki.

“Always had an appropriate or risqué joke for any occasion. With old fashioned values, a real man's man, who understood and protected a lady’s honour.

“Russell was a keen sportsman and a team player. He had great knowledge of sports trivia and had an outstanding memory for musical scores and never forgot a melody once he had played it.

“Food was important to my big brother; we enjoyed replicating our traditional family recipes. He invited me to eat with him often. I will always miss him.”
