A shop will become a flat after plans were approved.

The retail unit in Ham Road, Worthing, once home to Angel Heart pre-loved clothing store, will be completely transformed internally.

Stickland Wright Ltd, on behalf of Fly High Investments Ltd, put forward proposals for the front of the store to be turned into an open plan kitchen, living and dining room space.

The bedroom will be at the rear of the ground floor flat.

A noise assessment was carried out before permission was granted and it was determined that  residential use would be suitable in this area, despite the nearby Co-op store.

The unit already has a flat above on the first floor.

The plans were approved by Adur and Worthing Councils on Monday.
