Test runs have been carried out on the i360 after it was temporarily closed due to a smashed glass door.
The Brighton i360 was shut unexpectedly on Saturday, July 13, after a door was shattered during unscheduled maintenance.
Ticket holders were turned away from the attraction and initially told it would open on Tuesday, July 16, at the earliest.
However, staff now say they hope to reopen on Wednesday, July 17, with the i360 remaining closed today and tomorrow.
Engineers were pictured working on site on the day it was shut.
Test flights appear to have been run on the attraction after it was spotted in the sky, with a repair made to the door.
The smashed panel appears to have been removed and patched up.
Brighton and Hove City Council reported that the i360 is one of the most visited paid-for attractions in the city, drawing in 1,879,000 visitors between August 2016 and January 2023.
