Applications are now open for the upcoming series of E4's Married at First Sight UK.

Single people across Sussex are being encouraged to apply for the programme, which sees single people marrying a total stranger who they meet on their wedding day.

Relationship experts pair the candidates up based on scientific evidence of compatibility.

After marrying at first sight, the couples go on their honeymoon before moving in together in an apartment complex.

They then undergo weekly challenges to advance their relationships and attend weekly dinner parties with other couples in the experiment.

At the end of each week, they attend a Commitment Ceremony where they deliberate on their relationship with the experts and decide if they wish to continue or part ways.
