A person has been arrested after several people were injured in a suspected noxious substance attack.
Emergency services said they responded to a disturbance at an address in Bognor Regis on Sunday afternoon after reports that a substance had been thrown at people.
Part of Sturges Road in Bognor was cordoned off shortly after 4pm on Sunday while forensic investigators searched for clues.
One person has been arrested and the ambulance service treated people at the scene.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "It is believed a suspected noxious substance may have been thrown during the course of the incident.

"One arrest has been made.
"The ambulance service has treated people for injuries, believed to be in connection with the suspected noxious substance."
Police will remain at the scene while the investigation continues.
Witnesses with information, CCTV, mobile phone or doorbell footage, is asked to report it to Sussex Police online, quoting serial 780 of 14/07.
