A seafront bar has launched a new gin cocktail event to take place every Friday for a month.
Rockwater, in Hove, will be hosting “sunset sessions” on the roof terrace and offering guests two new cocktails.
The event is in partnership with Gin Mare, a premium gin that "encapsulates the essence of the Mediterranean".
The Argus was invited to Rockwater to try the new drinks.
One of the summer cocktails on offer is the Gin Mare Capri-Sun, which features a delicious mix of Gin Mare Capri, blood orange mango and nectarine.
As the name suggests, the cocktail tastes exactly like the childhood favourite and is the perfect fruity treat for a summer evening.
The cocktail also matched the gorgeous sunset we were treated to - and the roof terrace offered a perfect view.
We also tried a simple but classic Gin Mare and tonic, finished with a sprig of rosemary and a slice of orange.
The Mediterranean flavours combined well with the tonic water, an ideal refreshing drink to accompany any meal.
We were also served a selection of dishes from the Rockwater menu, such as an array of sourdough breads and butters, king prawns and rustic potato wedges.
The fermented garlic butter paired harmoniously with the sourdough and the king prawns were cooked to perfection, elevated by a generous helping of chilli butter.
With its gorgeous views, seaside spot and luxury feel, Rockwater Hove is the perfect venue for a long summer evening.
The sunset sessions run every Friday in July from 6pm onwards with guests treated to "long, lazy evenings" of cocktails and food, entertained by guest DJs.
Aoife Taylor, head of bars at Rockwater, said: “For the month of July, Rockwater is working alongside Mediterranean gin house Gin Mare to bring you a selection of deliciously curated gin-based drinks for you to enjoy.
“Rockwater is hosting a selection of events to celebrate the collaboration, including a cocktail masterclass and an olive oil and Gin Mare gastronomy tasting."
