Two people were taken to hospital after being attacked.
A woman suffered a head injury and a man was treated for facial injuries after they were assaulted by a man outside Taco Bell, Langney Road, Eastbourne, at around 12.35am on Sunday.
They have since been discharged from hospital.

Sussex Police has launched an investigation into the incident which had a "small number of victims".
A CCTV image has been released of a man police want to speak to in connection with the assault.
They also want to speak to any witnesses in the area at the time of the incident.
A spokesman for Eastbourne Police said: "Officers investigating are keen to speak to the person pictured as they may be able to assist with police enquiries; and ask that any pedestrians or witnesses in the area at the time who saw what happened to please report it to Sussex Police online or on 101, quoting 47240129579."
