The Royal Pavilion in Brighton has won an award with a top travel website.
The once royal retreat has been named in TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards for 2024.
Businesses and places win the award based on feedback from people who have visited and left reviews on TripAdvisor over the last 12-month period.

These awards aim to honour businesses that consistently receive high reviews, placing them amongst the top 10 per cent of listings worldwide.
Hedley Swain, CEO of Brighton and Hove Museums, said: "As we know, TripAdvisor reviews are all about the experience people have and has a lot to do with the welcome and care they get.
"This is a huge endorsement of all of our staff and how we look after our visitors."
John Boris, chief growth officer at TripAdvisor, said: "Congratulations to the Royal Pavilion on its recognition in TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards for 2024.

On the review website, the Royal Pavilion has an average rating of 4.5 out of five stars.
One visitor who went in March said: "It's brilliant actually. The Royal Pavilion feels totally out of place in Brighton.
"If you go to Brighton, this is the place you must see. Amazing and unique."
Another visitor from outside the county said: "Wow a most incredible palace, without a doubt you must not miss visiting this and the museum.
"It is mind blowing , whilst there aren’t lots of rooms the ones with the displays are wonderful and full of treasures."
A visitor from Northampton wrote: "What a fantastic experience. The Royal Pavilion was so exotic and full of splendour.
"It must have been stunning when it was first built as it took our breath away - it has aged very elegantly due to the hard work of all the staff concerned. Definitely worth visiting."
TripAdvisor ranks the site as the best thing to do in Brighton.
