Brighton boy meets Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris at F1 Grand Prix

Ravi Adelekan endured a ten-hour surgery to have the benign tumour removed after he was diagnosed with the condition aged just six.

The Brighton boy, who loves F1, met some of his racing heroes at the British Grand Prix at the weekend including winner Sir Lewis Hamilton.

Ravi said: “The weekend was already amazing but to see Lewis win at Silverstone was the most amazing experience. This has been one of the best weekends of my life.”

Thanks to the Make A Wish Foundation and Poundland, Ravi and his sister Maya joined a group of other children and were able to meet F1 drivers including Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris and Valtteri Bottas.

He also met darts sensation Luke Littler and Mercedes F1 boss Toto Wolff.

Earlier this year, Ravi and a choir of friends and family stunned judges on TV's Britain’s Got Talent, where he received a golden buzzer from Alesha Dixon.

In 2022, Ravi launched a charity cover of A Million Dreams which featured the likes of Coldplay, Paloma Faith and Bastille.

To date, the youngster has helped to raise over £130,000 for brain tumour charities.

Ravi was diagnosed with a benign tumour in his brain stem in 2021.

Following ten hours of surgery, he started the long journey to learn to walk and feed himself again.

The surgeons were not able to remove the whole tumour and Ravi lives with its effects every day.
