A much-loved zoo is set to expand with a new jungle-themed soft play area.
Amazon Adventure will open later this month and will be the second attraction managed by the family behind Drusillas who took over the zoo in Alfriston in 1997.
The soft play area will be at the site of Minor Mania in Tunbridge Wells, which announced it would be closing this summer.
The new attraction will be headed by Caroline Steer, the youngest daughter of the Smith family who have owned Drusillas for nearly 30 years.
Caroline, who previously worked in operations, events and customer service for Drusillas, said: “As a regular visitor to Minor Mania I know just much it means to the local parenting community.
"A lifesaver on a rainy day, or that all important place to grab a coffee and keep the kids entertained so you can have a catch up with a friend or enjoy a few minutes of breathing space.
“We want to retain as many of the features that customers love as we can, along with some updates and maintenance that will make Amazon Adventure a really first-class experience for families.”
Drusillas said the opening of the new site marks its first foray into expanding the business outside the zoo in Alfriston.
The new site will open on July 20.
