A new bus route has launched.
Brighton and Hove Buses' new 1X express service will take people from Mile Oak to Brighton Marina seven days a week.
The new route is part of the Brighton and Hove Bus Service Improvement Plan to provide a more efficient service across the city.

It replaces the 1A route and will serve some existing route 1 but stops across the city.
Brighton and Hove Buses said that more services will also be added to the route 1 journey to continue serving Whitehawk residents who were previously using the discontinued 1A route.
Councillor Trevor Muten, cabinet member for transport, parking and public realm, said: "The 1X is going to be a great addition to the city, complementing existing services and cutting journey times to key areas of Brighton and Hove like the hospital and the city centre.
"The Bus Service Improvement Plan funding is designed to support cheaper travel, more reliable journeys, grow bus usage and increase passenger satisfaction.
"I think the 1X will do all that and more.
"We have a fantastic bus network in Brighton and Hove. Improving services means more people traveling by bus which helps us move towards our net zero ambitions and improve our air quality."
Ed Wills, managing director at Brighton and Hove Buses, said: “We’re hugely excited to introduce the 1X to Brighton and Hove this summer.
"The route has been designed in response to passenger requests for faster buses on our network, and this new express service will offer residents of our bustling city quicker journeys times from the east to the west of the city.
“We have also massively invested in our fleet this year with the introduction of 44 new buses with the latest accessibility features, six of which will be travelling on the 1X every day.”
A launch event for the new route will be held on Friday, July 12 from 12pm until 5pm at Churchill Square.
Olympic Gold medallist Sally Gunnell will be at the event along with the Brighton and Hove Buses team.
Passengers at the event will be able to talk with the team about the new route and will be able to board one of the new buses.
Sally said: “I am thrilled to be part of this exciting launch. I am a huge champion of the local bus services operated by Brighton and Hove Buses, and it’s great to see a new, speedy express route introduced to help the people of this wonderful city get around even faster.”
