A leisure centre could be in line for a refurbishment.
Adur and Worthing Councils have submitted plans for internal work at the Lancing Manor Leisure Centre on the A27 in Lancing.
The councils want an extensive refurbishment which would involve changing the entrance lobby and reception to make it less "gloomy".

The existing curtain wall glazing and roof lights in this part of the building leak and have reached the end of their serviceable life.
The existing main entrance is narrow and does not provide "a very focal entrance" to the centre.
There are plans to demolish and replace the existing curtain walling. There could be new external walls to create a larger entrance lobby that would be more suitable for wheelchair and pram users.
Also planned is a new flat roof over the reception area to improve the aesthetic of the building.
A councils spokesman said: "The leisure centre use would remain the same but the proposal would be to reconfigure and refurbish the main entrance and reception area to improve and enhance the facility for visitors."
A decision will be made by August 28.
