A man is accused of owning an XL bully which mauled two sheep to death and injured five more in a city park.
Steven Baker has been charged with owning the banned fighting dog which attacked the sheep in Wild Park in Brighton in February.
Baker, 29, of Crowhurst Road in Catsfield near Battle, was due to appear in court charged with being the owner of a dog worrying livestock and possessing a fighting dog.

It comes after XL bullies have been banned in the UK following a string of attacks across the country.
A dog allegedly belonging to Baker reportedly attacked the seven Herdwick sheep on February 22.
Baker was due to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today after being sent a postal requisition but failed to attend on time.
The bench ordered that a warrant should be issued for his arrest.
