A new housing development could be built on land near the A259.
Plans have been submitted for seven new homes to be built in Main Road, Southbourne, near Chichester.
The development would include a pair of two bedroom homes, four three-bedroom houses and one four bedroom property.

These will all be a mix of detached and semi-detached houses.
The plans also state that each home would have storage space for bikes and two allocated parking spaces with electric vehicle charging points.
The homes will also have a garden each.
Smith Simmons and Partners, representing applicant Junnell Homes Ltd, said: "The overarching design approach for the development is one of ecological sensitivity and community, with a range of different dwelling types and sizes to meet local need.
"The design, scale and massing are appropriate to the character of the area, whilst providing much needed high-quality and energy efficient housing."
Chichester District Council will decide whether to approve the plans by August 16.
