A spokesman for Angels wrote: "It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you about the closure of Angels. This decision has not been made lightly, and it comes after careful consideration of the challenges we have faced.

"Over the past 18 months, your support and loyalty have been the cornerstone of our success. We have cherished the relationships we’ve built and the community we have been a part of.

"Your patronage has meant the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for the trust and confidence you placed in Angels."

The club said industry challenges have contributed towards the sudden closure.

The statement continued: "Unfortunately, rising costs and changing customer habits have made it increasingly difficult to sustain our operations.

"Despite our best efforts to adapt, these factors have proven insurmountable, leading us to the difficult decision to close our doors."

The business has also thanked all of its customers for their loyalty over the past 18 months.

A spokesman for the bar said: "We want to extend our sincerest thanks for your unwavering support and understanding during this challenging time. It has been an honour to serve you, and we hope that Angels has made a positive impact on your life in some way.

"We also pay tribute to all the staff who made this journey with us – without them we would not have made the memories we have.

"As we move forward, we carry with us the memories of the wonderful moments and the people who made this journey worthwhile. We will always remember your kindness and the vibrant community that surrounded Angels.

"Thank you once again for being a part of our story. As one story ends at this particular venue another starts. Watch this space."
