A council has put out a warning after a scammer has called customers pretending to be the council's tax department.
Wealden District Council said the scammer has demanded immediate payments from the council's customers.
People have been told not to give out any financial details and to check with the council first.

A spokesman for Wealden District Council said: "We've received a worrying notice that some customers have been called by somebody claiming to be our council tax department and demanding immediate payments.
"Please be aware - this is a scam.
"If you are unsure and want to check if the caller is indeed Wealden District Council, you can call our customer service department on 01323 443 322 before paying any money."
According to Citizens Advice, people should look out for the signs of scams when receiving unknown calls, texts or emails.
Some of the signs of a scam involve being asked to transfer money quickly and being asked to pay in an unusual way.
