A busy petrol station could have a new EV charging zone installed.
Brighton Service Station in Mill Road, Brighton, could undergo a major refurbishment if plans are approved by Brighton and Hove City Council.
The proposed plans, submitted by CarneySweeney on behalf of Motor Fuel Group, include demolishing the existing jet washes and replacing them with a charging zone with EV charges.

There would also be jet wash bays, a sub-station enclosure and the associated forecourt works which would be needed for these changes if plans are approved.
CarneySweeney said the Motor Fuel Group are proposing these changes as part of its aim to "make it as easy to charge your vehicle as refuelling with petrol or diesel".
The company said that the EV chargers, which would be located near the store, would be fit for purpose, uncluttered, and would not affect other station operations.
Brighton and Hove City Council will decide whether to approve the plans by August 15.
