A group of young people celebrating the end of school have been causing damage in a seaside town.

Adur and Worthing police said they are trying to deter and stop this antisocial behaviour across Shoreham.

Officers will patrol the town and an increased police presence will be visible over the next month.

A spokesman for Adur and Worthing Police said: "We are aware of groups of young people gathering in Shoreham, particularly those who are celebrating the end of school.

"Police have identified a small number of those causing damage to the area and displaying anti-social behaviour.

"We are working closely with local partners to deter and stop this behaviour.

"Officers will continue to patrol the town and Shoreham beach and an increased police presence should be expected over the next month.

"We urge residents to report anti-social behaviour to us online or by calling 101. Always call 999 in an emergency."
