Toys R Us will return to Brighton and Hove this month after last closing its doors more than half a decade ago.
The popular toy store at Goldstone Retail Park in Hove closed when the business went into administration in 2018, closing dozens of stores across the country.
Now, however, the retailer is back – and is coming to Churchill Square.
The store will begin to trade out of WHSmith in the Brighton shopping centre from June 29.
Posters in the window of the Churchill Square store say the stationers is “making space” for the new store which would be “arriving soon”.
The toy shop previously announced it would be opening inside other WHSmith stores across the country including in Hastings.
Toys R Us will be opening in Churchill Square on June 29 and will be holding a grand opening event on the day.
The store is one of 30 Toys R Us stores to be opening in WHSmith shops across the country.
Ian Sanders, group commercial development director for WHSmith, said: “We’re really excited to be opening Toys R Us in Brighton.
"WHSmith is known for being the hub of the high street by providing customers with a range of great products and services.
"Partnering with Toys R Us gives us a leading toys and games range in our stores and means customers have even more reasons to shop with us. We look forward to welcoming many more customers into our store.”
