A man has been found dead in a park.

Police set up a cordon in Woodstock Close play park, Horsham, after responding to concerns for a man.

The scene was attended by police officers and an ambulance.

Police have now reported that a 24-year-old man was found dead at the park.

The circumstances of his death are not thought to be suspicious.

Pictures from the scene yesterday showed officers gathered near the treeline of the park, with a forensics team taking pictures and placing items into bags.

Armed police were also seen to enter the cordon.

A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “Emergency services responded to concerns for a man near Woodstock Close Play Park at around 8.30am on June 18.

“Sadly, a 24-year-old man was found deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be prepared for HM Coroner.”
