A skate park and seven-a-side football pitch are among plans for a playing field at the centre of a new council development.

Plans are already in the works for a new community hub and 200 homes in Moulsecoomb with a new GP surgery, library and youth centre near Hodshrove Lane.

Now, the council is consulting residents on what they would like to happen to the playing field ahead of work which is expected to start in early 2025.

Among the plans for the site are a skate park and a seven-a-side 3G football pitch.

The site is currently a school playing field for Moulsecoomb Primary School, but under the new plans the field would be converted into sports facilities for the community.

An online consultation survey is available on the Brighton and Hove City Council website with residents drop-in session at Moulsecoomb Community Leisure Centre on Monday, July 8.
