A Museum is searching for artists to provide work for a new temporary exhibition space.

In 2019, an assessment found that the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery building needed urgent repairs, including to the roof, restoration of Georgian lighting and rejuvenation of the central gallery space.

The museum is now on the hunt for artists, makers, designers and creatives who can bring two temporary spaces to life while repairs are made.

Head of Digital, Marketing and Communications Kate Turnbull said: “As the museum will be open during the 10-month period of work, we want to ensure the space remains culturally interesting and adapts to its temporary ‘look’. It is a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate working artists.”

The callout is open to artists of all backgrounds. Submissions are welcome from both emerging and established creatives, with the deadline being 07 July 2024 at midnight.
