Sussex Police are now using drones to tackle antisocial driving.

The force said that drones are used to monitor accident blackspots, high-risk junctions and areas that are prone to irresponsible driving.

The aim is to reduce the number of fatal and serious crashes and to make sure police can act swiftly if there is an accident.

A spokesman for the force said: "We use drones to crack down on anti-social driving on our roads.

"The aerial technology is also used to monitor high-risk, problematic junctions. We can then capture any collisions and it allows us to send a fast-time response to the area."

The use of drones is also becoming more frequent in areas such as Brighton and Hove, especially over the weekend in the evenings when a high number of people are out drinking in the city.

This is part of Sussex Police's work to make sure people stay safe on nights out in and around the city.
