Security measures have been installed after antisocial behaviour at a doctor's surgery.

Adur Health Partnership said anti-social behaviour from youths entering Shoreham Health Centre, Pond Road, Shoreham, from the car park level has led to new measures being introduced.

This includes extra CCTV in the car park and the ground floor doors locking at 4pm.

The surgery said that it is truly sorry for the inconvenience this could cause patients.

A spokesman for Adur Health Partnership said: "We are sorry to announce that following further undesirable and antisocial activities from youths entering Shoreham Health Centre from the car park level, we have to bring forward the time the auto doors lock.

"Please note that from June 17 the ground level doors (car park access and Western Road access) will lock at 4 pm.

"Please use the intercom to gain entry from the car park or please use the main entrance, which can be accessed via stairs or a ramp from St Mary's Road.

"We will also have additional CCTV cameras in the car park from June 17.

"We are truly sorry for the inconvenience, however the safety of our colleagues and our patients is paramount."
