Fire engines were called to a house fire caused by a van that caught alight.
Three fire engines responded to calls from Littlehampton of a vehicle that caught fire.
The flames spread to a house at Oakcroft Gardens yesterday evening.
The fire crew used three hoses and a jet and successfully put out the fire.
The cause of the incident remains unknown and no one was injured.
A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said: "Last night at 6.37pm we responded to a vehicle fire at Oakcroft Gardens, Littlehampton after receiving multiple calls to our control room.
"Joint Fire Control sent three fire engines from Littlehampton and Worthing to the scene.
"Upon arrival crews found one van well alight and the fire had spread to an adjoining house.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using three high-pressure hose reels, a jet and a thermal imaging camera.
"Fortunately there were no casualties.
"The cause of the fire is unknown at this time."
