A woman was seriously injured when a stranger assaulted her in an unprovoked attack.
The 56-year-old was taken to hospital after the incident in Friary Way, Crawley.
Police today issued an appeal for witnesses to the assault which happened on March 4.
A force spokesman said: “Witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to contact us online or call 101 quoting serial 772 of 04/03.”
