A small number of motorway and A Road closures will affect Sussex traffic this weekend, according to National Highways England.

These will mainly be on the A27 in the early hours of the morning for maintenance work.

If you are set to be travelling along these areas, it's best to take note of different diversions that may be in place.

Here’s a list of all the closures from Friday, June 14 to Sunday, June 16 on Sussex's main roads to be aware of.

M23, A23 and A27 road closures for Friday, June 14

M23

On the M23 southbound way, there will be a carriageway closure between Junction 9 and 10 for surface works from 8pm to 6am.

A23

On the A23 southbound way, there will be an entry slip road closure at Pyecombe between 9pm and 6am for communication works.

A27

On the A27 westbound way, there will be entry and exit slip road closures at Adur between 8pm and 6am for structure works.

Additionally, in both directions, there will be a carriageway closure from the Golden Jubilee roundabout to the Pevensey roundabout.

This is taking place due to drainage works and will last from 8pm to 6am.

M23

There will be a link road closure between Junction 8 on the M23 southbound and Junction 7 on the M25 (clockwise and anti-clockwise).

A23

There are no closures on the A23 listed for this day.

A27

On the A27 eastbound way, there will be a carriageway closure from Manor Road roundabout to Adur.

This is in place for the construction of a new roundabout and will last from 9pm on Saturday to 6am on Sunday.

Meanwhile, on the westbound way there will be a carriageway closure from Adur to Manor Road roundabout from 8pm to 6am.
