Three Sussex restaurants have been named among the UK's best for outdoor dining by OpenTable.

The Anglesey Arms in Chichester, The Cat Inn in East Grinstead and The Shepherd & Dog in Fulking are on the booking website's Top 100 Restaurants for Outdoor Dining list.

"As the weather warms up, it’s time to dine outdoors," OpenTable states.

"To help find the perfect alfresco spot, OpenTable has scanned diner metrics and over 2.2 million reviews to narrow down the restaurants where Brits love dining outdoors.

The Anglesey Arms in Chichester has earned a 4.5/5 rating on OpenTable from 887 reviews.

It offers "traditional country charm fused with a renovated contemporary finish".

Its OpenTable profile reads: "From ordering a round-in at the garden bar, to having a meal in our intimate dining room, you'll feel at home and catered for any time of the day."

One reviewer wrote: "Food and service very good. Nice garden and plenty of parking. Our visit was lovely. Would highly recommend."

The Cat Inn

The Cat Inn in East Grinstead has earned a 4.8/5 rating on OpenTable from 1,710 reviews.

Its profile on OpenTable described its atmosphere as "warm and cosy" in the winter. The restaurant also has a terrace to enjoy food and drink in the summer months.
