A second car has crashed into a building this evening with emergency services cordoning off the area.
The Hyundai hit a doorway next to the Sun Wah Chinese Takeaway in Wick Street, Littlehampton, causing a long crack running through the building's front wall.
The southbound side of the road was blocked by firefighters, paramedics and the police who all worked to get the driver out and make the building safe.
Officers were seen directing traffic in the one lane left open.
The wheel arch and driver's door on the white car were damaged in the strike.
Sun Wah takeaway is open for customers despite the earlier incident.
