A small number of motorway and A Road closures will affect Sussex traffic this weekend, according to National Highways England.

These will mainly be on the A27 in the early hours of the morning for maintenance work.

If you are set to be travelling along these areas, it's best to take note of different diversions that may be in place.

Here’s a list of all the closures from Friday, June 7 to Sunday, June 9 on Sussex's main roads to be aware of.

M23, A23 and A27 road closures for Friday, June 7

M23

There are no closures for the M23 listed for this day.

A23

On the A23 southbound way, there will be an entry slip road closure at Pyecombe between 9pm on Friday and 6am on Saturday for communication works.

A27

  • A27 eastbound Eastern Road entry and exit slip road closure - 9pm to 6am
  • A27 westbound Eastern Road entry and exit slip road closure - 9pm to 6am
  • A27 eastbound Manor Road roundabout to Adur carriageway closure - 9pm to 6am
  • A27 both directions Golden Jubilee roundabout to Pevensey roundabout carriageway closure - 8pm to 6am

M23, A23 and A27 road closures for Saturday, June 8

M23

On the M23 southbound way, there will be a link road closure between Junction 8 on the M23 and Junction 7 on the M25.

This is in place for painting works and will last from 10pm on Saturday to 6am on Sunday.

A23

There are no closures for the A23 listed for this day.

A27

On the A27 eastbound way, there will be a carriageway closure from Manor Road roundabout to Adur.

This is in place for the construction of a new roundabout and will last from 9pm on Saturday to 6am on Sunday.

On the M23 southbound way, there will be a link road closure between Junction 8 on the M23 and Junction 7 on the M25.

This is in place for painting works and will last from 10.30pm on Sunday to 5.30am on Monday.
