A young man who was lost and in difficulty under cliffs has been rescued.
Pett Level Independent Rescue Boat volunteers were contacted by the coastguard at 8.40pm on Sunday night after reports of a man near Fairlight cliffs.
The charity launched its rescue boat and found him at the beach.

He was helped onboard by the volunteers and was brought back to the Pett slipway.
A spokesman for Pett Level Independent Rescue Boat said: "Once securely on board the casualty was brought safely back to Pett Slip where our beach crew were waiting with blankets, tea and biscuits.
"We provided essential welfare checks whilst waiting for the ambulance team.
"A positive result and another fantastic response by our dedicated team."
HM Coastguard Rye Bay and HM Coastguard Hastings also attended.
The Pett Level Independent Rescue Boat became a charity in 1971.
The volunteers work closely with HM Coastguard and RNLI crews in the area to provide assistance.
