A takeaway has been given the second lowest food hygiene score.

Shogun Ramen, in Prince Albert Street, Brighton, was given a score of one on April 24.

A rating of one means major improvement is necessary.

The food safety inspector deemed that improvement was necessary at the Japanese restaurant in the hygienic food handling criteria and major improvement was needed in the management of food safety.

The restaurant’s cleanliness and the condition of facilities and building was considered generally satisfactory.
