Plans have been made to convert part of a furniture store into a beauty salon.
Whaleback Planning and Design, on behalf of applicant Norman Marshall, submitted proposals to Adur District Council to turn one of the Marshalls Carpets units in Tarring Road, Worthing, into a salon.
If approved, the retail shopfront would be replaced and the door interlinking this unit to the other three, which are owned by the same furniture company, would be blocked off.

The plans state that the salon would be open from 8am until 8pm Monday to Saturday.
It would offer various treatments including eyebrow tinting, eyelash extensions and nail treatments.
A spokesman for Whaleback Planning and Design said: "The proposed change of use would make a positive contribution to the viability and diversity of the centre by supporting the financial viability of an existing business, enabling its reduction across four shopfronts to three, and delivering an entirely new business offering."
The council is set to decide whether to approve the plans by July 25.
