Reacting to the news that the footballer would be appearing on the show, Lewes FC said: “It’s happening again… Good luck, Ronnie.”
Last year, the show featured former Lewes FC player Tyrique Hyde, who placed second alongside Ella Thom.
Meanwhile, Brighton dancer Harriet Blackmore has been given an 18.2 per cent chance of winning the ITV2 show.
The pair both have famous connections as Ronnie is close friends with previous contestant Olivia Atwood and her footballer husband Bradley Dack while Harriet used to be Brighton rapper Ardee’s personal shopper.
