Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a possible doorstep fraud.
It follows a report from a vehicle owner about men buying a vehicle for sale, but tampering with it to get a lower price.
The incident happened in Lower Dicker, Hailsham, at about 9pm on May 14, with a group of three men involved.
They were all in their twenties and were all dressed in black.
Police have released images of the men they wish to speak with in connection with this incident and to sellers to be vigilant to any possible scams.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Anyone who recognises them, or anyone with information, is asked to report it to us online quoting serial 132 of 16/05.”
