A man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in a business park.

The 55-year-old was driving a Ford Fiesta at around 6.30am this morning when he crashed into a parked car in Chartwell Road, Lancing.

Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital.

A police investigation is under way to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

No other injuries were reported.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

"This includes those with dashcam footage of a grey Ford Fiesta travelling southbound on Busticle Lane, Lancing at approximately 6.30am.

"Information or footage can be reported to Sussex Police online or emailed to collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk quoting Operation Converse."
