Plans have been made to build over 40 new homes in a village.

Stonebond Properties has applied to Horsham District Council for permission to build a new housing development at Millfields Farm, Horsham Road, Rusper, near Horsham.

If approved, the existing farm buildings at the site will be demolished and 43 new homes will be built.

These would be a mix of one, two, three and four bedroom houses, with 22 of these being affordable.

The homes will have private garden space along with an open green space for people to share.

Ece Architecture, on behalf of Stonebond, said: "The proposed redevelopment of Millfields Farm offers a sustainable and attractive development with improved pedestrian and cycle connections to the village centre.

"The proposals are landscape-led, delivering attractive, energy efficient homes that meet local housing needs and will create significant accessible public open spaces that will enhance local use and enjoyment."

A decision on whether to approve the plans is set to be made by August 10.
