A stray cat born without a tail is looking for his forever home.

Kiko, six, has lived on the streets for the past five years after being kicked out of his home.

He had been surviving on food given to him by neighbours before being taken to Worthing Cat Welfare Trust, where he is currently being fostered.

A spokesman for the trust, which rescues and helps rehome cats and kittens, said: "He’s a friendly, tactile sort of chap, who loves a good groom, immaculately clean with his toileting and loves his food.

The Argus: He is currently living in a foster home

"Currently with one of our fosterers, he is very well behaved, not at all destructive and is in no particular hurry to explore outside of his own comfort zone.

"Born without a tail, he looks more like a tame Bobcat.

"He’ll make a wonderful, cuddly companion in a quiet, mature household."
